Welcome to our product pages; any information you might need to know about our range of railway programmes can be found below, all of which are categorised by the country covered, or by series. Simply click on a product title to find out more.
We can take
credit or debit card orders on-line thanks to the facilities and secure server provided by our payment bureau of choice, SWREG Inc./Digital River. This provides a safe and secure means of payment, and a range of credit or debit cards are accepted. If you prefer, you can also order products by post and pay by cheque using our own
printable order form.
When you add an item to your basket, you will be taken to the SPDVP customised shopping basket located on the SWREG server, which should provide you with a seamless shopping experience. As SWREG is our payment bureau, they will charge you and handle the transaction on our behalf, hence it's their address you see on certain pages instead of ours. We still despatch the goods ourselves of course, only the on-line payment stage is handled via SWREG.
Our programmes are released on DVD-R discs and in PAL format, please check your VCR / TV / DVD hardware for compatibility (see the
Help section for more details), and please review our
Terms and Conditions page before purchasing. Thank you.

Summary: Filmed in 2005, this brand new programme features contemporary diesel and electric operations on the Chinese National Railway, plus steam and diesel operations on some of Central China's most interesting industrial and local railways. Locations include the Shanghai area, the Yangtze River Bridge at Nanjing, Fuyang, Yanzhou, and Pingdingshan. A fascinating blend of railways old and new, sometimes reminiscent of Europe forty years ago.

Summary: Located in central China's Henan Province, Pingdingshan is one of China's last known steam 'hotspots'. The 40 mile long steam operated local railway interchanges with China Rail at Pingdingshan Dong yard, where we see steam, diesel, and electric traction working side by side. Mainly featuring the busy section within the city limits, the action is unrelenting, with a constant flow of coal trains serving the local mines, plus the occasional steam operated passenger service.
