Located in central China's Henan Province, Pingdingshan is one of China's last known steam 'hotspots'. The 40 mile long steam operated local railway interchanges with China Rail at Pingdingshan Dong yard, where we see steam, diesel, and electric traction working side by side.
Mainly featuring the busy section within the city limits, the action is unrelenting, with a constant flow of coal trains serving the local mines, plus the occasional steam operated passenger service.
