▪ Formats
We release our programmes in PAL format, on DVD-R discs.
PAL is the video and picture standard used in the United Kingdom, much of mainland Europe (except France), and other countries too. Before purchasing, please check your video, TV or DVD hardware for compatibility with PAL, and ensure that your DVD player can read DVD-R discs. DVD-R discs differ from standard DVD discs, and we use the DVD-R format because it allows us to write our programmes to the discs using our own equipment rather then having the discs pressed by a third party. This approach allows us to reduce our costs and pass this saving on to customers, and there's absolutely no difference made to the image quality of the final programme.
You should check whether your DVD player is capable of reading DVD-R discs before purchasing one of our DVD titles, however most DVD players are capable of reading this disc format.
▪ Ordering, payment and delivery
We can take your orders on-line thanks to SWREG's secure server, credit or debit card processing and shopping basket facilities. SWREG (Digital River) is the payment bureau we have chosen, and they host the on-line ordering facilities and handle on-line orders on our behalf. We have fully customised the shopping basket, credit card detail entry and order confirmation pages so they blend in seamlessly with our own website, and pages related to alternative methods of payment are also customised to reflect the appearance of our own site. We hope this will make the on-line ordering system and it's layout more familiar to you, and also easier to use.
Ordering our products on-line by credit or debit card is a straightforward procedure which will be familiar to you if you've ordered anything on-line before, we've arranged the payment method page in a step by step format, and SWREG is able to accept a wide range of credit or debit cards. Help is available on the page itself when you come to pay for your products, but if you have any queries, please don't hesitate to
contact us.
Whenever you add an item to your shopping basket, you will be taken to the SPDVP customised shopping basket located on the SWREG secure server. As SWREG (Digital River) is our payment bureau, they will charge you and handle the transaction on our behalf, hence it's their address you will see on certain pages instead of ours. We still despatch the goods ourselves of course, only the on-line payment stage is handled via SWREG.
If for any reason you would prefer not to order on-line by credit or debit card or via SWREG, you can also print out our own mail order form and post this to us along with payment by cheque; please see our
Postal Order Form for details.
For all orders, please allow 28 days for delivery, which will be made via Royal Mail First Class post within the United Kingdom, and via Air Mail to other countries.
